All Hands In

At The Gap we run a number of projects where we engage, identify and invest in young people in our local area. To find out more about the individual projects please click on the links below.

How do we work?

The Gap is a charity that was established in 2008. We currently have four paid part-time staff members, but we would not be able to do what we do without our amazing volunteers who give up their time to support us in the projects we run. There are over a dozen volunteers across the projects and we are always looking for more people.

How are we funded?

The Gap is supported financially on a regular basis by individuals and a small number of local churches. We also apply for external funding in order to resource our projects and the equipment needed for the work we undertake.
“I look forward to each visit to The Gap each week. It makes me so happy and the team always make me laugh. Thank you for being my friends."
“The Gap were there for me when I had no one and they are still there supporting me and motivating me. I have come a long way and a huge part of that is down to every bit of support The Gap have provided. I felt valued and that I was being listened to for the first time in my life."
“Venue is my safe space. Its always a warm environment... like my family away from home. I know if I need anything I can ask the team and they are there fore me.”
