On 4th March our Youth Workers Jess and Chloe had the opportunity to attend the Careers Fayre at Bishop Walsh School, where they spent time meeting and engaging with students from across the school.

Throughout the event, Chloe and Jess had many great conversations with young people about the role of youth work and the different ways it supports young people both in and outside of school. They shared insights into mentoring, explaining how supportive relationships and safe spaces can help young people build confidence, resilience, and life skills.

The fayre was also a great opportunity to introduce students to The Gap Midlands and let them know about our drop-in sessions, where young people can come along after school to relax, take part in activities, and connect with youth workers and friends in a welcoming environment.

It was fantastic to meet so many engaged and curious students,and we’re grateful to Bishop Walsh for inviting us to be part of such a positive event. We look forward to continuing to build relationships with the school and hopefully welcoming some new face to The Gap very soon.
