David West-Mullen

After three months of plotting and planning on Saturday 18th January 2025 the Gap Family gathered for an evening to honour and celebrate the contribution of David West-Mullen to the young people of Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.

It was an evening of live music, tributes, poetry, meeting long term friends and making new ones, with lashings of food, laughter and hugs along the way. Oh and some old photos with some enviable haircuts. A special celebration evening.

Two days earlier David received the news that he had been nominated and selected to win a High Sheriff of the West Midlands Award.

The High Sheriff’s Awards’ are to recognise the work of individuals or community groups within the county. These awards are a way of recognising and celebrating the work of individuals and organisations within the West Midlands who have made outstanding contributions to the communities in which they live or work.
