Easter Fun at The Gap
Over the Easter period, The Gap was full of energy, creativity, and plenty of laughter as we hosted a week of exciting activities for our young people. It was fantastic to see so many of our regulars coming along, getting involved, and making the most of everything on offer.
One of the highlights was our Arts Day, where young people got creative with clay sculpting and canvas painting. The room was full of imagination as everyone designed their own unique pieces, showcasing some brilliant creativity.
We also enjoyed a fun-filled Baking Day, where young people made their own Easter nest cakes. There was lots of mixing, decorating, and (of course) taste-testing along the way, making it a great mix of creativity and fun.
For those who enjoy a bit of competition, our Pool Tournament and Ping Pong Tournament Day brought out some fantastic energy. Alongside this, we hosted a Team Games Day, packed with challenges including a hilarious moo-off, building a balloon dome using spaghetti, a fast-paced cup game, and a lively game of “meggesed.” These activities encouraged teamwork, creativity, and lots of laughter.
To top it all off, winners across the week were rewarded with chocolate Easter eggs, adding an extra layer of excitement and celebration.
It was a brilliant week full of connection, creativity, and fun — a reminder of how important it is to create spaces where young people can try new things, build friendships, and simply enjoy being together.
