Gap in the Park - August
Our Gap in the Park initiative was extended throughout the month of August. This was because the Venue was inaccessible from the end of July as a result of the closure of the adjacent car park by the council. Instead of our usual location, we gathered at the foot of Trinity Hill and went across just inside Town Gate, making the best of the situation.
Gap in the Park served as a wonderful opportunity for everyone to enjoy the outdoors, engage in various games, and bask in the summer sunshine (weather permitting). It was a refreshing break from routine activities and provided a chance for social interaction and physical exercise.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Asda Foundation, we were able to purchase sports equipment, including gear for badminton, football, and volleyball. This added a new dimension to our activities, allowing participants to enjoy a wider range of games and sports. In addition to the sports equipment, we continued to engage in our traditional Gap card games, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy during Gap in the Park.
