Plan for Neighbourhoods

24 Sept 2025

Ten year plan for Sutton Coldfield

The Gap (Midlands) have been chosen as one of five organisations in Sutton Coldfield to be involved with the Plan for Neighbourhoods.

Sutton Coldfield is one of 75 towns across the country that is to receive up to £20 million as part of the UK Government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods Programme over a ten year period. The programme aims to help local neighbourhoods thrive, make communities better able to tackle the challenges they face and ensure local people have a real say in what happens in their areas.

The Gap are focused on teenagers and young people.

As well as an online survey we are encouraging as many young people to take part in a focus group session in your school where teenagers and young people can have a direct say in what they want Sutton Coldfield to become over the next ten years.

Unfortunately, the deadline is really tight, and all sessions need to be completed by Friday 10th October.

Are you able to help facilitate these in your school?

We will run the sessions if you can provide a room and as many young people to attend as possible.

Please email our office office@thegap-midlands.org as soon as possible to be involved and help our young people shape Sutton Coldfield over the next ten years.
