On Tuesday 16^th September, Phil, Jess and Chloe had the pleasure of attending the Sutton Coldfield College Freshers Fayre – and what a day it was! Armed with our podcast equipment, a game of Jenga with random questions, and plenty of information about what The Gap offers, we set out to connect with new students as they kicked off their college journey.

Throughout the day we engaged with over 40 young people, sparking conversations about youth work, opportunities at The Gap, and how we can support them. The Jenga tower proved to be a great icebreaker, and our podcast equipment drew lots of interest with students keen to learn how they could get involved in creating and sharing their own content.

It was fantastic to meet so many enthusiastic young people, share what we do, and hear their ideas for the future. Events like this remind us how important it is to be out in the community, building relationships and opening doors for young people to try something new.

We’re excited to keep developing these connections and look forward to welcoming some of these fresh faces to The Gap.
