Jess Shuttleworth
Youth Worker
I’m Jess and I’m the new youth worker here at The Gap. I am so excited to be joining the team and have loved getting to know some of you so far this week.
I’ve spent the last 6 years working in schools and have a real passion for coming alongside children and young people to empower them and help them find their way within our communities. I’ve been doing this in schools, church and events such as Spring Harvest in the last few years and am excited to further that through the Gap projects.
My background is in drama and education. Having been to BOA to study acting at college, I went on to study Applied Theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I have a heart for bringing change, challenge and conversation to the heart of education through theatre, interactive workshops and continued support.
At church, I lead the children’s work, help organise special events and play bass in the band. My faith is a big part of my life and it is my belief that God wants His Kingdom to be seen and experienced throughout our communities in a way that allows His children to know His love for them.Â
